いわば 群雄割拠の時代が続き、限られたユーザーを奪い合うという悪循環が続いている。
In a sense, we're in an age of warlords; a vicious cycle of competition over a limited userbase.
このままでは、いずれ業界全体が緩慢な死を迎えるしかない。
If this continues, the entire game industry will slowly die.
だれかが、この戦乱の世を一つにまとめなければならないのだ。

Think of it as the heart that controls everything within Sega.

16 exabytes of storage, 512 Terabytes of RAM, 333 Gigahertz 4096 Core CPU.
Note: I can't quite catch what she is saying after 333ギガヘルツで. It sounds like プロする, which I guess is a shortening of プロセスする, but can't find any evidence of this. Either way, it doesn't make much difference to the translation in this case. Alisa is just listing off a list of ridiculous computer specs for the Teradrive.

It's capable of displaying 16,770,000 sprites along a horizontal axis.

This is the software manufacturing department, each disk is carefully burned one by one, by our gourmet staff... without any added chemicals or preservatives.
Note: This is a pun in Japanese, the word used for burning a disk can also be used for cooing food.
ここがセガの最深部、開発室。
Now we come to the deepest part of Sega, the development studios.
セガには、ゲームを作るために、A,B,Cの全部で三つの開発室があるの。
Three development studios make all of Sega's games, A, B and C.
ここで生み出される様々なゲームが、セガを支えているわけね。
The various games developed here are what make Sega.

厳重なトビラですね。やっぱり怪しい人間は入ったりしないよう、セキュリティに気をつかってるんですか。
Your security is really strict. It must be tough trying to keep out spies.

あ、これ？逆よ。外に出せないため。
Huh? No, it's the opposite actually. We don't want anyone getting out.
ゲーム開発というのは、やっぱりちょっと特殊な職業だから、開発が次第に複雑、高度化するについて、そのストレスで、
Game development is a bit special, it's always advancing, becoming more and more complex and sophisticated.
何ているのか、人間ではなくなっちゃう人が増えてきたのね。
The stress has led to an increase in the number of employees becoming...well, something less than human.
凶暴だったりして危険だから、外に出すわけにはいかないけれど、いいゲームを作るためには、

そうしたスタッフの力が不可欠だからこういう形をとっているの。ま、どこの会社でもだいたいこんなものよ。

中がどんな状態になっているのか誰にもわからない。
Nobody even knows what's really going on in there.
ただ出来上がったゲームが、食料などの生活必要物資を引き換えに、扉の向こうから届くだけ。
The completed games are just left outside the vault in exchange for food and basic necessities.
あなたたちがこれからセガガガの一員としてゲームを作っていくためにはいすれこの扉の向こうに入っていかなければならないでしょうね。
For you to be able to make games as a member of Segagaga, you'll have to go into the vault.
さて、いよいよプロジェクトセガガガの立ち上げね。一応資料は読んだと思うけど、もう一応簡単にあさらいをしておくましょうか。

しかし、そのためにはまず、ゲームを作るためのスタッフを場所を確保することが必要ね。
But first of all, you must secure a place for our staff to make games.
あなたたちは、まず、さっき見たあの開発室に入り、現場のスタッフを説得。自分たちの仲間にしていくの。
Enter this development studio and persuade the staff to become you colleagues.
相当な困難が予想されるけれど、これは一種のテストのようなものよ。これくらいの事ができない限りとてもセガの将来はまかせられないというわけ。
It won't be easy but think of it as a test. If you are unable to complete this first task, you can't be relied on to save Sega.
開発室には過酷な開発のストレスでもはや人間ではなくなってしまったスタッフがひしめいているわ。
There are many employees in each development studio who, due to the severe stress of game development, are no longer human.
ほとんどRPGのダンジョンと同じようなものと考えて、武装や体力のなど、
Think of it as an RPG dungeon; weapons, equipment, HP etc.
あらかじめ必要と思われるアイテムを購買部で買ってから行った方がいいわね。
Don't forget to buy necessary items beforehand from the store.

Staying beyond that is dangerous as you'll put yourself at risk of being poisoned by the stale air, turning into a monster yourself.
Note: It actually says that you could be poisoned by the miasma, but I dont think many people reading this will know what that is. Instead I've changed this to "stale air", as that is how I'd imagine a development studio full of sweaty programmers. I think it works better for now.
最後にとても大切なこと。あなたたちセガガガに許されているのは、三年間の期間と初期予算だけ。
Last but not least, you have just a meagre initial budget and three year time limit.
これは、何の実績もないあなたたちに、セガの舵取りを任せるという、異例の試みに対して
Just think of this as an unavoidable step you have to take to gain recognition within the company,
社内でコンセンサスを得るためのやむを得ない措置だと考えてちょうだい。
before we can feel comfortable putting you in the driving seat.

ゲームの中でうかつに目や口を動かしたりするとそのたびに絵を用意したり、声と口の動きを合わせなきゃいけないから大変でしょう？
In a game, when you inadvertently move your mouth and eyes, you have to create frame data each time, then you have to match the voice with the movements. It's very time consuming.
私は最初ゲームキャラとしてセガに入社したから、そこらへんの訓練を積んでいるの。あなたたちも先々便利だからおぼえておいた方がいいわよ。

Note: This is a reference to the Sega arcade game, 'DD Crew', I may change this to a more recognised beet up brand, such as Streets of Rage for the sake of the translation.

立派にか。。。どうかな、本当に立派なスタッフってのはなんだと思う？昔の話だ。。。俺とチーフは、ある大型マシンの開発にかかりきりだった。

me and the Lead Programmer were working on a large piece of hardware.
デキは最高だったが、時間とカネがかかりすぎだ。一ヶ月以内に完成させなければ、プロジェクトを打ち切ると宣告されたのさ。
The workmanship was great, but it was taking too much time and money. We were told to terminate the project if it wasn't completed within a month.
そこで、プログラマーとデザイナーが対立した。あくまで完璧を目指して粘ろうとするオレたちと、限られた中で、ベストを尽くそうとする奴ら。
So, there was a conflict between the designers and programmers. We who wanted to stick to our vision for the project, and they who wanted us to do the best we could with the limited time and budget.
どっちも間違っちゃない。だがスケジュールは迫る。
Neither side was wrong, but the deadline was closing in.
結局、上司とデザイナーに押し切られる形で、チーフが折れた。だが、それが。。。一番まずい方向に転んじまったのさ。
In the end, pushed by the designers and upper management, the Lead Programmer broke. Then the project took a real turn for the worst.
公開テストのとき、事故が起こった。プログラムのバグが原因だった。
During a public test, an accident occurred due to a bug in the program.
吊るし上げを食べったよ。理想にこだわるあまり、足元のミスを見落とした。。。そんなことを言う奴もいた。
He was put on trial by his comrades. They said he had become so obsessed with his idealitic vision, that he'd overlooked a fatal mistake right in front of his eyes.
チーフは弁解しなかった。一言も。おれもそれに従った。
The Lead Programmer made no excuses. Not one word. I too went along with it.
後に残ったのは、プロジェクトの永久凍結。そして。。。バルクスタフっていうありがたい呼び名だけだ。
The project was put on permanent freeze. And we were grateful to be allowed to stay on as temp staff.
